Opened in May 2007 it is a centre of excellence caring for younger people with neurological problems caused by acquired brain injury and conditions such as Multiple Sclerosis and stroke. Our objective is to provide for the health and social needs of each of our residents with professionalism, compassion and experience. We will care for them as an individual through understanding, respect and dignity. From the moment of arrival you will receive a warm welcome from both staff and management. We provide residential care to elderly ladies and gentlemen who are independent in spirit but may now require some assistance with various aspects of day-to-day living. Resident's privacy and security feature high on our list of priorities.

All of our rooms are tastefully decorated, and they are furnished to provide a level of comfort that is much appreciated. There is a 24-hour call system and staff members are on duty all day and night. There is a full programme of activities and these are regularly announced on our "Bulletin Board" above. Residents are invited to bring treasured items to personalise their rooms, and if required personal TV's are always available. We offer a range of different size rooms from standard to premier and it should be noted that we can accommodate couples.

Nightingale House provides specialist palliative care services, completely free-of-charge, to patients and their families across a wide area stretching from Wrexham, Flintshire, East Denbighshire to Barmouth and the border towns including Oswestry and Whitchurch.

These services include a 16-bed inpatient ward, a 15 patient daycare unit, an outpatient clinic, a specialist lymphodema unit, occupational therapy, complementary therapies, physiotherapy including a hydrotherapy pool, an ambulance service as well as a range of bereavement support services such as ReLease, a specialist service for children and young adults.

Patients and their families are welcome to call in to the hospice during the week for information about our services without the need for a formal referral.
