NWCA in PartnershipThe North Wales Care Association represents its member’s interests with Welsh Assembly Government, County Councils, Local Health Boards, NHS Trusts and other organisations through a wide range of partnership bodies and working groups. Our Chairman Mario Kreft is currently a member of the Care Council for Wales and the National Partnership Forum. We are currently members of Welsh Assembly Working Groups looking at the implementation of the 10 year strategy for social services “Fulfilled Lives – Supportive Communities” and developing recommendations for new Commissioning Guidance for Health and Social Care Services. We are currently negotiating a memorandum of agreement with the Welsh Local Government Association and the Association of Directors of Social Services to meet regularly and work collaboratively to address important issues affecting health and social care services in Wales. At a local level we have representation on Health, Social Care and Well-being Partnership Boards and a wide range of working groups looking at a range of service users needs. We make representations on our member’s behalf on key commissioning issues such as fair fee levels, service specifications and contract terms. Current Activities We are currently making representations in relation to the following matters: • To County Councils re Fair Fee levels for 2009-10. |
