Plas Isaf Nursing Home

PLAS ISAF NURSING HOME

Plas Isaf Nursing Home is situated in a pleasant residential area, surrounded by private grounds and close to local amenities, Plas Isaf can accommodate up to 33 people with dementia and/or other mental health problems.

Although, because of the nature of their condition, independence may be limited, service users are encouraged to exercise this right wherever possible. A choice of meal is encouraged in addition to decisions as to when they get up or retire. Personal belongings are also encouraged.

There is a comprehensive programme of activities which, because of the service users condition, tends to be on a one to one basis with qualified staff. Communal activities such as Bingo, Baking, Craft and Art sessions also take place as well as external visits to places of interest, theatres, etc. To complement our activity programme we hold a Remembrance Service in November, Birthdays, Halloween and anniversaries are also a feature as are the Summer Fayre and Christmas programme.

Again, because of the nature of the condition of many service users, the ‘Reminiscence Room’ with furniture and decor suitably themed to the 1940s/50s, is a popular place to meet and share recollections.

The friendly but efficient home from home atmosphere so carefully nurtured in our other establishments, is embraced enthusiastically at Plas Isaf where dedicated and qualified staff work round the clock in order to ensure the contentment of service users.
