The Old Vicarage Nursing Home

THE OLD VICARAGE NURSING HOME

The Old Vicarage Nursing Home is located near the village of Pandy Tudur in Abergele, with the town of Llanrwst only 6 miles away (A548). The home is set off the road, down a private driveway (signposted), in a tranquil rural environment. The home comprises of the Original Vicarage building extending to the coach houses behind, The Old Vicarage was built in the 1800's with a small church along side, it was built by the then owners of the local estate after they fell out with the local church in Llangernwy (a pretty village 2 miles down the road).

We are doubly blessed where we are situated, we can enjoy the peace and tranquility of the country side and can, within 40 minutes, be on the coast of Llandudno, Colwyn Bay and even Anglesey.  The house is set in mature landscaped grounds, a secluded patio area offers outdoor seating and parasols in the summer. We also have seating at the front of the Vicarage which offers superb views of the wooded valley.

Over the past three year The Old Vicarage has undergone an internal refurbishment and a rolling program continues. The majority of bedrooms are single with a double room available if required. A lift and stair-lift give access to the upper levels of the building.

The Old Vicarage Nursing Home has strong links with the local community every other Sunday the local chapels take it turn to visit and perform a short service, other denominations also provide services as requested, majority of staff are bilingual and come from the surrounding area. 24 hour Nursing & Personal Care is available from our specially trained staff, freshly prepared food cooked by our chefs, a choice of two local GP surgeries.

The Old Vicarage benefits from having a mini-bus with wheelchair access for our trips out to the seaside (for ice creams), to the garden centres (for a pot of tea & cake). A varied program of activities is available which include an organist and aroma therapist aldo engagement in local activities such as the Urdd Eistddfod and local festivals. For further information please do not hesitate to conact us, see details below.
