HIGH PASTURES NURSING HOME

High Pastures Nursing Home was originally built as a mansion in 1922. It was converted into a nursing home in the 1970's. The home itself has been maintained to provide for todays high standards of nursing care but has still retained the grandeur of the original country house.

The home stands in an acre of mature, well kept gardens and commands magnificent views across the Conwy Estuary, Conwy Castle and the Snowdonia mountain range as far as Betws-y-Coed.

All of our rooms, which residents are encouraged to personalise with their own possessions, are furnished and decorated to a very high standard and the majority have en-suite facilities. All rooms are connected to a Nurse Call System.

The home is centrally heated and fully protected by a comprehensive Fire Detection System. All our bathrooms are equipped with specialist lifting equipment for safe, assisted bathing, and a passenger lift assists with ease of movement and independence for our residents.

All our staff have been chosen for their first class capabilities and training. Our team are exceptionally caring and have built up an excellent reputation in the area for high medical, social and emotional standards of care. Staff who speak Welsh are encouraged to communicate with residents in Welsh when appropriate, as part of our endeavour to make residents as comfortable and relaxed as possible.

We have regular visits from the Chiropodist, Physiotherapist, Dentist and Optician and have an in-house Hairdresser. Regular monthly religious services are held by Clergy of all denominations and we have a range of interesting and varied activities and outings.
